Roulette is a betting game built around a spinning wheel numbered 0 to 36 (plus a second zero on American wheels). You place chips on the betting table before the wheel spins, the software (or a live dealer) spins the wheel and drops the ball, and whichever pocket the ball lands in decides every bet on the table at once.
Inside bets are placed directly on numbers within the grid. A straight-up bet on a single number pays 35:1. A split covers two adjacent numbers (17:1), a street covers three numbers in a row (11:1), and a corner covers four numbers meeting at a point (8:1). Fewer numbers covered means a bigger payout if you hit, but a lower chance of winning any given spin.
Outside bets sit around the edge of the table and cover larger groups of numbers for smaller, more frequent payouts. Red/Black, Odd/Even, and High/Low (1-18 or 19-36) all pay even money (1:1). Dozens and Columns each cover 12 numbers and pay 2:1.
Once betting closes, the wheel spins and the ball drops - on a live table you'll see this happen in real time; on an RNG table the software generates the equivalent result instantly.
